Become A Practitioner
A year-long training in Austin for yoga teachers, Pilates instructors, and personal trainers who are ready to build a practice in Fascial Retuning, with a path to teaching classes and seeing clients through The Listening Movement.Four weekend immersions · Monthly in-person Learning Labs · 250 hours · February to December 2027 · Limited to 16 practitioners
Who this is for
You already teach or train, so you have body literacy and an eye for how people move. What you want now is a hands-on practice of your own: a way to change the deep fascia with impactful assisted stretch and a way to build a livelihood around it.
You're probably a good fit if you're ready to apply what you learn within months, want to work inside a framework and make it yours, and like practicing in community. This is probably not the right fit if you're mainly looking for continuing education hours or a protocol to follow exactly.
What You’ll Learn
Fascial Retuning is a hands-on way of working with fascia and structure, so you'll learn the craft through physical practice. You'll also learn the listening that makes it work: reading what a body is communicating in real time, staying present without an agenda, and adjusting as the person in front of you changes. I teach frameworks rather than rules, and you'll leave with a way of working that has your own voice in it.
The year
Immersion 1 Feb 19–21
Immersion 2 May 14–16, followed by the mid-year checkpoint
Immersion 3 Aug 27–29, when required assisting hours begin
Immersion 4 Dec 3–5, with the skill assessment
Each immersion runs Friday to Sunday, 9 to 5. In the months between, we meet for a required in-person Learning Lab of about two hours, often as a round-robin of teaching practice with feedback.
Where it leads
After the May checkpoint, you're ready to teach self-stretch group classes and to sub for me.
After the December skill assessment, you're invited to see clients of your own at my studio, booked through The Listening Movement, and to be paid to assist me in sessions. You'll also be listed on the TLM Trained Practitioners page and get first access to subbing and referrals.
I can't guarantee work or income. I can guarantee that the pathway exists and that I'm motivated to build it with you.

Questions
Do I need a massage license? Enrollment doesn't require one. Licensing rules vary by state and by the kind of work you plan to do, and completing this training doesn't qualify you to practice under any license, so you're responsible for understanding the rules where you work. We'll talk through your situation on the application call. [Have your advisor review this answer.]
What if I miss an immersion? You repeat it at no charge with the next year's cohort. All four are required for the final certificate.
What if I need to withdraw? The remaining payments stay due as outlined in the enrollment agreement. [Confirm with whoever drafts the agreement.]
Can I join after it starts? No. The first half builds toward the mid-year checkpoint, so applicants after January 15 go on the waitlist for the next cohort.
What's the weekly time commitment? About two hours a month for Learning Labs, plus practice and assisting hours you schedule yourself.
