Observing Emotions: A Somatic Meditation for Awareness & Release
IN THIS LESSON
Emotions are not wrong—they are energy, messengers, invitations. In this gentle guided meditation, you’ll explore the simple yet profound question: What’s happening now?
With curiosity and care, you’ll be guided to observe sensations in your body, noticing how emotions show up without needing to fix or change them. You’ll be invited to bring awareness to any energy that arises—especially anger or tension—while offering it space to move, soften, or release in its own time.
This practice is deeply connected to the Wood Element in Traditional Chinese Medicine. Wood energy governs growth, movement, and vision—but when it becomes stagnant or imbalanced, frustration and anger can arise. Rather than resisting these emotions, this meditation offers a way to work with them, creating space for transformation and flow.
Through breath, touch, and visualization, you’ll cultivate a sense of presence, learning to sit with emotions rather than push them away. By the end, you’ll feel more grounded, more connected, and more at home in your body.
Take a deep breath, settle in, and begin.
