THE LISTENING MOVEMENT

Summer Immersion
in Austin, Texas

Reconnect with your intuition, expand your practice, and transform how you move with clients

An intimate, two-day immersion for movement practitioners who want to explore fascia-informed, meridian-based movement in a space designed for intuition, curiosity, and integration.

June 21–22
Austin, TX

A weekend with The Listening Movement is more than a training.

It’s an invitation to slow down, tune in, and deepen your ability to listen to the body—your own and others’.

Whether you're a movement teacher, bodyworker, facilitator, or simply curious about your body’s intelligence, this weekend offers tools to expand both your personal practice and your professional presence.

Over two days together in Austin, I’ll guide you through the core elements of The Listening Movement—fascia-informed self-stretching, assisted stretching, meridian-based movement, and body-led exploration. We’ll pause, move, feel, and reflect.

You’ll learn new tools, yes—but more than that, you’ll leave with a clearer connection to your body, your intuition, and your ability to be with complexity—yours and your clients’.

This isn’t about fixing. It’s not about doing more. It’s about listening more deeply, and remembering that your body has always known how to guide you.

This training provides continuing ed hours for Yoga Alliance practitioners

WHY I TEACH THIS:

This work emerged over years of listening to bodies—my own and my clients’.

It brings together the technical and the intuitive: fascia-informed movement, Traditional Chinese Medicine, authentic expression, and subtle awareness. These tools have helped people move through pain, reconnect with joy, and find a way of practicing that’s more sustainable and more alive.

My goal isn’t to hand you a method to memorize. It’s to help you build a more responsive relationship—with your own body and with those you support.

This work is not about getting it right. It’s about getting closer to what’s true.

  • Yes—if you're a movement or wellness practitioner looking to deepen your skills while reconnecting with your body and intuition.

  • Not at all. Past participants have included yoga teachers, Pilates instructors, dancers, manual therapists, and bodyworkers. If you’re body-aware and curious, you’ll feel at home.

  • This training centers presence and responsiveness. You won’t just learn a set sequence—you’ll build the skill of listening, so you can adapt what you know to what’s needed.

  • Because this training is limited to 12 people, I can’t offer refunds, but I’ll happily apply a credit toward a future training.

  • Yes, Yoga Alliance CECs are included. If you hold other credentials, let me know and I’ll provide supporting documentation for you to submit to your certifying organization.

  • This immersion is a first step. While it’s not a certification, it’s foundational. For those who want to go deeper, mentorship and training opportunities are available after this immersion.

  • Every part of this weekend is meant to be practical and adaptable—techniques you can begin using right away. You’ll also leave with a printed manual and be invited into my weekly practitioner roundtable, where you can continue integrating the work through practice and community.

  • You’ll leave with more than tools. You’ll leave with a renewed connection to your body, new clarity in your work, and ways to help your clients feel empowered between sessions. That’s value that continues long after the weekend ends. Also, I’m happy to offer a payment plan to make this experience financially accessible. WHAT PAST PARTICIPANTS ARE SAYING:

  • "Kaita has crafted an intimate and tranquil retreat within its walls. The practitioner training provided me the opportunity to capture all of the juicy nuggets she’s been offering over the years. The invitation is consistent - to take the framework and use it as a starting point for exploration and tapping in to your own innate wisdom. I could prattle on about her gifts and graces as a teacher and guide, as a human, but I’ll get to the point. What I valued most was the opportunity to spend extended time with such inspiring, intelligent women, exploring the shared path of self discovery; to expound on ideas, share insights, discuss what unfolded for each of us, and find laughter and joy amongst it all."

  • The Listening Movement Practitioner training has enhanced my understanding of the fascial system and its complex integration with the entire body on a profound level. This knowledge layered with the lens of the ancient wisdom of Chinese medicine and Meridian lines provides a rich framework to grasp the intricate mysteries of the body and truly has changed not only my relationship with my body and my awareness of my movement in everyday life, it has changed how I now approach and teach movement to others. The core principles of 'engage' and 'elongate' have empowered me to reach a new level of my awareness and sustainability in my own movement practices as well as my teaching as a practitioner. The focus on building the skill of listening to or deeply sensing the movements is a highly valuable and essential key element that can be applied to any movement modality and enhance its experience. In addition, the community this training provides is invaluable and provides a priceless network of support to engage with the material after the initial training is complete. I would highly recommend this training to be an indispensable supplement to anyone's work in the movement or body work community as a practitioner or teacher as well as movement enthusiasts looking to deepen their connection with their own body!”

  • “I'm so happy I took this workshop. It was a well thought out presentation of Kaita's work in blending different healing modalities into one practice. It wasn't overwhelming or overly ambitious and I was grateful for the time spent in discussion- asking questions that led us down new paths, exploring alternate ways to target the body and hearing what others were experiencing. Kaita is a knowledgeable teacher, compassionate leader and has a beautiful offering for anyone willing to take the leap of faith into listening to the wisdom of their own body.”
